Green Lasso wrangles interactive video, mobile architecture, social networks, real world events and DIY ingenuity to produce high-quality projects that invite participation, co-creation and imagination.
Why?
Well, you might say there’s a new sheriff in town.
Self-publishing (YouTube), social media (Facebook) and micro-blogging (Twitter) have waltzed right in and shifted the media terrain. One-way mass communication to “viewers” is crumbling as new, engaged “users” expect free, on-demand and mobile entertainment while also communicating back, remixing the media and broadcasting directly to each other. This has media giants flummoxed as they scramble to apply traditional practices and profits to this wildly organic and seemingly unstoppable surge of grassroots creativity and communication.
To this, we say: “Sweet.”
It is time to let our stories go. No longer trapped inside boxes or brands, let them spread through social networks like a pixelated prairie fire and blow from phone to phone. Out here on the tech frontier, we can experiment with high-impact stories that invite people to deeply engage, to listen and talk, to put a piece of themselves inside the story and then send the new version out for the next storyteller to stir.
